What do you do in this profession?
As a machine and plant operator, you get to work when a production machine needs to be professionally operated and maintained. You know your system and know how to adjust and maintain the machines. You are just as proficient in professional operation and retrofitting as you are in diagnosing and rectifying faults.
Places of work:
Machine and plant operators work primarily in workshops and in assembly and production halls.

What is important?
Diligence (e.g. when setting up production machines), observation accuracy and attentiveness (e.g. when monitoring production processes on machines and systems), decision-making ability and reaction speed (e.g. in the event of faults on automated production machines and systems), technical understanding and manual dexterity (e.g. when assembling and disassembling production system assemblies)
